United Way FPC directly funds a certified STEAM teacher at THRIVE, Restoration Rome's after-school program, bringing hands-on science, technology, engineering, arts, and math experiences to young people who are already receiving daily meals, nutrition education, social-emotional support, mentoring, and a safe place to grow.
This isn't an add-on. Project-based STEAM learning is woven into a program built around the whole child and the whole family. THRIVE's family-strengthening model means the same kids building confidence in a STEAM lab also have families connected to food access, financial assistance for sports and camp, and a broader network of care under one trusted roof.
Our investment equips a skilled educator, deepens learning, and strengthens the safety net for families who need it most.
