UNITED FAMILIES PROGRAM
A partnership between the United Way, City of Rome, Exchange Club Family Resource Center, First Baptist Church of Rome, and the Scott Family Fund, managed by the Community Foundation for Greater Rome. Together with our partners, we keep families together, providing safe housing, property management, financial planning services and a comprehensive Family Plan and Parent Aide support to participant families. In lieu of rent, participant families pay into an emergency savings fund in an amount suited to their budget, which is held in escrow and returned in full when the family graduates the program.
In our first year, our families successfully transitioned from the program with an average of $3,675 in emergency savings.
UNITED FOR AIDS/HIV SUPPORT
In 2022, we teamed up with our partners at Aids Resource Council, Inc., envisioning a clear path forward to ensure the stewardship and continued success of their mission to educate, prevent, and provide support to individuals and their families living with an HIV/AIDS diagnosis: United for HIV/AIDS Support. This program also offers emergency financial support to individuals living with an HIV/AIDS diagnosis and their families.
